He that can quietly endure overcomes.
-- English Proverb
There are all sorts of factors which contribute to success, but there is one that is often more important than all the others...perseverance.
I have begun and ended this article with a proverb which points out the value of being able to persevere, but for most of us, one old saying comes to mind, "All things come to him who waits."
The problem with that particular version is that it implies that simply waiting for success to happen is all that is required. While the occasional miracle does happen, most successes are the result of action. For most of us, success, when it comes with will be a reward for our effort, faith, and perseverance.
The world is replete with stories of those who "succeeded" only after years of trial and effort. Thomas Alva Edison, one of the foremost inventors of the 20th century is famous for his invention of the electric light bulb, among many other things. However, even Mr. Edison never hesitated to point out that the thing that made him famous occurred after years of not being successful (which IS different from failing). He even stated that he found the way to make the light bulb work only after learning several ways to NOT make them work.
Very few "successful" entrepreneurs, salespeople, network marketers, and today's internet marketers can say that they achieved success without trial and error...lots of error. IN fact, many will be more than happy to admit that their success came about after long periods of time in which they managed to do some pretty foolish things and waste a lot of time and money.
However, two major points also come out of these stories...they learned from their mistakes and accepted the setbacks as part of the tuition they had to pay to learn their craft, and they did not give up.
Even in my own life, there was a ten year period between my first half-hearted attempts at creating my own business, and my first real income. There was another five year period in which I grew my business in spare moments until I began to make enough income that I could quit my job and actually live comfortably off the income I was able to generate.
Of course, I'm hard headed and insisted on re-inventing the wheel. Two close friends of mine reached the viable income level in three years, and both became millionaires in five years, simply by sticking with the basics of their individual businesses and the simplest tenets of network marketing. They were friends with everyone, and handed out a pamphlet to everybody they met.
It's easy to look at that paragraph and either be discouraged that it can take so long, or to become excited that it can happen that fast. To put things in perspective as far as perseverance is concerned; one of the gentlemen I spoke of was in his mid 40's when he began to pursue this particular quest. He was nearing 50 when he began receiving monthly checks in excess of $100,000 a month. It would have been easy in the first year or two of this enterprise for him to have quit and just chalk it up to another program that wasn't any good...or accuse himself of being a failure. However, he realized the value and potential of the program he was involved in and knew that if he could just put brochures in the hands of enough people, he would be able to find many like himself.
As I said, it took him three years to find those people, and two more years of growing this group until the point where he was being repaid to the tune of $100,000+ each month. It wasn't his skills that landed him there, but neither did he achieve all this by waiting for people to ring his doorbell and hand him money. To him, every day was a chance to open new doors to the future for himself and those who felt as he did.
Don't ever give up.
For every door that shuts, ten will open.
-- Philippine Proverb

Consistency Leads To Success
By Brice Mattson
Internet marketing is an unforgiving business and getting side tracked is almost inevitable. I have often found myself searching and wondering around the internet when I should be concentrating on my business' everyday operation. Everyone who runs their own business on the internet should always make a list of day to day things they need to accomplish. Here's a few things I do on a daily basis to make sure that my business grows.
Getting in the right frame of mind
Starting off my day on the right foot is imparitive to my success. If I get off track then minutes and hours are lost and everyone knows time is money. The reason 95% of internet marketers fail is because of this reason: they think they can instantly make riches on the internet and when they don't make money right away they quit and move on to something else. I can honestly tell you that it takes hard work and consistency on a daily basis to make money online. So everyday I get it into my head that failure is not an option and that I won't become part of the ever growing statistic.
Blogging and Pinging
Everyone knows that having a blog to help promote your business is a must. Even better is to self host your blog on your own server as a subdomain of your main website. Keeping traffic on your server is a crucial point in making sales online. Once you have a blog set up you should make posts to it everyday for the first while to build up the content. Search engines love fresh new content and in order to get the search engines crawling on your site you should have alot of content for them to devour. Once you have done this then post every other day or at least 2 to 3 times per week. Remember to ping the posts you make each and everytime you post something new. For pinging services I use Pingoat.com, Pingomatic.com and Ipings.com
Article Submission
Article Marketing is nothing new to the internet but most people will tell you that its a great way to get traffic and one way back links. What are one way back links you might ask? Well basically its an incoming link to your website. Most article directories allow you have an author box, resource box or bio box and this is where you tell the reader about you or where they can get more info about what you have wrote by putting a link to your site. When putting a link to your website in the "author box" you should always try to anchor it in keywords that relate to your site.
Generally I write 1 or 2 articles per week and submit them to about 450 article directories. I do use article submission software which makes the task much easier. To use the same submitter software I use visit my site and get it for free. The submitter comes with 450+ article directories you can program onto the submitter.
Participating in Forums
I have to admit that since joining a few forums my business and knowledge of internet marketing has growen immensely. At first I just read everything I could and learned from all the people on the forum. When I had something to say that was informative and helpful I made a post. When you make a post to a topic it should help the person who made the original post and unless you have something to contribute you should not post at all. If you have a question or something you wish to discuss then make a post and someone will most likely help you out. Basically I use forums to learn about internet marketing and get answers to questions I have. Remember the saying "you learn something new everyday", well this is why I go and participate in forums. To find some well known forums to join enter "Forums" into your favorite search engine.
Directory Submission
I regularly use directory submission software to increase the amount of back links to my website. In order to rank well in the search engines one must increase his/her link popularity. The more incoming links to your website means that your site is important and thus search engines rank it higher. To get the software I use visit my website below.
By being consistent you will achieve your goals. Make a list of things you need to do and stick to it at all cost. It just could be the difference between success and failure.

Various Ways to Make Money with Articles
by Morris Clopton
To make money by writing articles there are several different areas that need to be addressed. The author has to ask himself several questions before starting so he doesn't write an article and then have to determine where it should go and how best can he relate it to his business.
The basics in writing the article are much the same, no matter where you use it. It should be written to make the best use of keywords without being obvious. Information is what the reader wants so don't just write one big commercial. Readers have gone to your article because they want to learn something. If they do, they are more likely to click on your site to see what else you have to offer. Gradually you can steer them towards your promotions or products.
The writer needs to be sure there are no grammatical errors. Break it into manageable paragraphs and keep the line length about 60-65 characters so the reader doesn't have to use his mouse to see your writing.
Another area is who writes the article. Some people can publish them very easily but others either don't have the time or don't feel comfortable enough to do their own. Research is important here, including trying out someone who offers to write them for you. Try him out and if he performs to your satisfaction you can continue with him. Eventually a hesitant author may decide to try it himself, as he gets more experienced with his marketing skills. A good place to get recommendations is on a forum.
Where are articles placed? One of the most obvious is article directories because they will submit them to hundreds of sites. The author's link is then sent out with the articles and hopefully many readers will click on it to find out more about this author, especially if the subject is in his area of marketing.
Your own website is a great venue for your articles. A good example would be to put the article on affiliate marketing on a web page. Then links on that page can offer the reader a route to one or more of your affiliate sites. Or write one on the benefits of using autoresponders and have a link to one or two.
Make sure that your articles not only use keywords that relate to whatever subject about which you are writing, but remember that content is king. Commercials are fine but save them for your blog or a broadcast to your subscriber list. Well-written articles can help you build an opt-in list. Your readers will be anxious to read more of your material and we all know that subscriber lists lead to income opportunities. Your site's reputation will increase as well. Soon some of your subscribers may recommend your site to others.
Be sure to stick to subjects that either pertain to your type of business or if you are promoting affiliate products and sites, aim your subject to whatever you are promoting. Not an ad, maybe more information on the general subject of that product. For example, if the product is a vitamin, write an article on the need to supplement your nutrition.
A good way to advertise articles is to set up each article on a web page and then make a master list on a separate page with a link to the article. Using an autoresponder for the same method is good too. Then take out an ad, either paid or unpaid, and advertise the master list.
Articles obviously can be used in various places and with a little imagination your business will greatly profit from them.

Here's a great thread on the WarriorForum right now. "How can I make $10 - 20 a day"
Boggle has set his sights on making that much online. One of his problems has been a lack of focus and sticking with one project a time.
Read the entire thread here. The stuff that's being mentioned could easily been written up into an ebook that you would have to pay for.
Check it out here.
Hope you can learn from this also.
